Lise Skovgaard Jewellery was officially founded in 2019, but my journey into the world of jewelry began long before that.
I grew up surrounded by craftsmanship and tradition—my mother, aunt, and grandfather each owned a jewellery store in the outskirts of Copenhagen. From an early age, I spent countless hours in their shops, observing customers, trying on antique gold jewellery that had been sold, and collecting lost scraps from the floor. I was fascinated by the history and deep sentimental value that jewelry holds. But more than anything, I quickly realized that my true passion lay in creating jewelry with my own hands.
In 2020, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Jewellery, Technology, and Business from the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology. Since then, I have worked tirelessly to build a work-life balance that brings both personal fulfillment and entrepreneurial success.
As a one-woman business, I embrace creativity as it comes, focusing on crafting only a limited number of each design to keep production low and preserve the uniqueness of every piece. Every item is made from precious metals, entirely by hand, in the workshop called WØN at Frederiksberg, Copenhagen.
